What is a Kindle?
A Kindle is a wireless reading device from Amazon.com that allows you to download books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and even audio books. The nice thing about the Kindle is that it works on on a wireless cell network so you can update your content anywhere there is coverage in the US. If you do not have coverage it can be updated via USB cable connected to a computer with an internet connection. The Kindle has a display that allows it to look similar to paper. Because of this it does not accommodate pictures (jpgs, etc.) well and does not allow for fill in forms such as the New York Times crossword. The Kindle is also compatible with .Mobi titles that are not DRM encrypted. It is possible to upload certain data files for personal use and to connect to get limited web access and email.
